Import and export to local file formats

It is easy to import local file formats from the municipality or other sources. Import the file, and the program will automatically generate all lines, symbols and areas with connected properties. Your completed plan can just as easily be exported to a local file format. If you have defined your own drawing rules for land use area plans, these plans can be exported to a text file. This enables you to re-use the drawing rules at a later date, as the module also includes a function for importing drawing rules from a text file.

Line types and symbols

All lines in your map can be changed to an area plan line type. It is of course easy to design lines directly in the drawing, and all lines will automatically be put on a predefined standard layer. All lines get correct properties and can be used as borders for land use area definition. Symbols are easy to insert and rotate!

Land use areas with properties

Select a land use area, mark the properties you want to connect to it and insert the land use area text in the drawing. Separate functions will now automatically connect the land use area text to the correct border lines in your drawing. It is fast and easy to disconnect the land use area from the borders, change the geometry of your plan and then connect the land use area to the new borders. A separate function can also update the existing land use areas to the edited border lines. All properties connected to a land use area can be written in your drawing.

Easy to edit geometry and properties

If you change the drawing rules of your plan, you update one or all land use areas with the press of one button. Furthermore you can easily add or remove properties from existing land use areas. You will at all times have complete overview of all land use areas and their connected properties using the function “Search for land use areas”. With this function you can edit properties and text directly.

Alignment design and geometry functions

The function “Alignment design” enables you to design all your road lines correctly, including parallel edge lines, rounding and turn around. In addition you can easily design bus stops and parking places. A separate function will draw the centre line including all text for radius and tangent points.

Area calculation to excel

The function “Search for land use areas in drawing” will export all land use areas to Excel. The Excel file includes the most important properties for all land use areas. You can also use this function to edit land use properties directly, e.g. field names and area sizes.

Legend and standard stamps

Novapoint Area planning automatically generates a standard legend with all land use areas, line types and symbols used in your plan. I addition you can insert standard stamps for each type of plan.

Visualization

Export your plan to Novapoint Virtual Map by just two key strokes! A configuration file including all land use areas is part of your Novapoint installation. This makes it very easy to visualize your plan in virtual reality.
