Configuration based on local standards

The configuration is used for specifications for ditch cross sections, type and number of pipes, distances, foundations, frost-proof depth, protection layer and side slope. It contains a lot of predefined ditch cross sections and pipe types. Standard values are picked from local standards. It is very flexible for registration of pipes, manholes and materials. Setup of relations between pipe type – connector (manhole) and pipes – dimensions – pressure classes. You can easily create your own drawing setups.

Import of existing objects

It is possible to register existing pipes, cables or other sub surface objects into the model. The objects are visible in the model and in the drawings. This makes adjustments to existing WS constructions considerably easier!

Design in plan and longitudinal profile

The program includes a separate dialog for design and editing of the trenches. Creating new trenches is easy; from line in drawing, 3D line in drawing, from road surfaces or draw new. There is a complete connection between plan and longitudinal profile drawing, and changes can be made in the graphics, just as easy as in the construction dialog. Changing the ditch cross section can be done anytime during the entire design period. All pipes and manholes have relations and are connected to each other. You may set gradients to pipes or interpolate heights between manholes or to the whole trace. These are some of the many editing functions included in the program.

Connection to road or lines in the terrain Model

It is possible to create a relation between a road and a WS trench. You may draw a new trench in the road surfaces, where you may set values for the distance between manholes and the total length of the trench. This trench will then be linked to the road, so if the road is changed, we can with just a keystroke update the trench accordingly. A trench may also be linked to other lines in the Terrain Model, e.g. border lines, etc.

Import from - and export to SoSi

Novapoint can among others import SOSI, kof and dwg formats. The complete WS project may be exported to SOSI and LandXML.Stake out data for the trench line and the ditch can also be exported to NYL, TIT, LandXML, Anfelt, Leica (gsi, job) and Trimble (tdf, pro) formats.

Reports

The program generates reports to Excel for trench tables, coordinate lists, trench volumes, manholes and pipes.

Transfer your plan and existing objects to Novapoint Virtual Map using just two keystrokes! A separate configuration file with a complete setup for all types of objects and pipes is included in the installation. Here you can check out if the plan conflicts with existing objects or other designed elements. The function is so easy to use that it should be used also during the design to secure the quality of the plan.
