Novapoint Road Marking

Design base

You need to have a digital plan drawing or a map in AutoCAD-format.

Simple user interface

All functions are run either from the drop down menu or from the tool bar. Most functions have a user interface easily recognized by the users of Novapoint and AutoCAD.

Setup

Road Marking objects may be adjusted to fit in with any project. Make the desired setup for zebra crossings, cycle tracks, exclusion areas or longitudinal lines. Novapoint Road Marking can easily be used with a terrain model, digital maps, scanned maps/drawings, road geometry from Novapoint Road, an AutoCAD drawing or other digital sources as basis.

Construction

The Road Marking objects e.g. a centre line can be designed directly or by pointing to a polyline which is constructed in AutoCAD. Zebra crossings are designed by pointing to limitation points or by letting a closed polygon define the zebra crossing.

Parametric ruled objects

Marking lines can be selected from a list in a dialogue. Here you get a clear view of the line type, both graphically and numerically. You can select different marking lines according to local standards. Zebra crossings, cycle tracks and exclusion areas are ruled by changing the values in a dialogue.

Editing

A quick and easy editing function is essential to be able to produce drawings effectively. In Novapoint Road Marking all road marking objects may later be edited quite easily. By using the function ”Road Marking Edit” a dialogue appears, where you may edit measures or change marking lines.

Symbols

The programme includes a library of Road Marking symbols.

Bill of quantities

The programme calculates the quantity of the marking objects.
